20220414 Djordje: Your tissue is ready for collection. Marcia 30 PD and 30 control samples with nigra and putamen. For the CSF we are missing samples for 2 PD and a number of controls. Also, 5 CSF samples are contaminated with blood. We can replace these with samples from other cases and add more to make 30 samples. The final number of controls will be drawn from both tissue and CSF samples but we will have 30 for all PD samples.

USDA statement: Detailed and accurate description of the materials. Confirming that the slides were fixed for a minimum of 24 hours in a 10% formalin solution. Then if frozen in BSE Slow type CYO probes were fixed in 30% absolute biotic and solvent for a minimum of 30 minutes, followed by immersion in fresh 10% formalin for a minimum of 45 hours. The slides do not contain Foot and Mouth Disease virus or Rinderpest virus.

Dr Masataka Hatano (& Saka Hatano) in Juntendo Univ. An expert of biomarker research about PD, especially aSyn. 20200923 Kamiguchi Hiyo-san told me that they may have Parkin PD patient brain. It’s an option to access the samples when we create an research plan to show Dr Hatano (Junior) (Mariyusan access is still difficult because they are pricey use by Juntendo U). Niigata univ — Postmortem brain PD aSyn fibril
Kanai Hu Tanaka san. Niigata U has 4 brain PD frozen samples, and Tanaka san has already contacted to Dr Kakita to use the specimens for our PCS PD. By all PD samples nigra in Tanaka K who can discuss with him to join the collaboration. HM-san can said the research collaboration with Tanaka and Niigata U brain bank has been terminated because of lack of budget. If we would like to access to their brain samples, we should create specific research plan to share with Dr Kakita.
